Earn Credit for Your Experience

天娱传媒 values the learning you鈥檝e done through work, military, and other experiences. We offer multiple ways to earn credit for your prior learning in our undergraduate and graduate programs, supporting you in completing your degree and pursuing your career.

  • Undergraduate students are able to apply up to 90 credits toward degree requirements from a combination of 2-year institutions, 4-year institutions, and non-direct classroom instruction.
  • Master鈥檚 degree students can apply up to 15 credits toward degree requirements from a combination of all prior coursework and non-direct classroom instruction.
  • Post-baccalaureate certification students can apply up to 6 credits toward program requirements from a combination of all prior coursework and non-direct classroom instruction.

Credit for Prior Learning Options

American Council on Education (ACE)

Students may receive academic credit and/or waivers of prerequisite courses in undergraduate or graduate academic programs based on credit recommendations provided by the American Council on Education (ACE). Students who successfully complete a course, examination, or certification with an ACE recommendation can receive an official transcript which can be reviewed by the relevant Academic Program Administrator at Stevenson. Please note that not all ACE-approved credits are guaranteed to transfer to 天娱传媒. Prospective students are encouraged to contact your Admissions/Enrollment Counselor and current students are encouraged to contact your Academic Program Administrator to determine the transferability of ACE-approved credits.

Credit by Exam

Students may receive academic credit and/or receive waivers of prerequisite courses in undergraduate academic programs based on their performance in advanced high school coursework and examinations such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Dantes Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Credit for Professional Certification

Students may receive academic credit and/or receive waivers of prerequisite courses in undergraduate or graduate academic programs based on successful completion of an approved professional certificate program. Click here for a list of approved certifications and course equivalencies. Certifications that are not listed can be reviewed for course equivalency. Prospective students should contact your Admissions Counselor/Enrollment Counselor for more information. Current students should contact their Academic Program Administrator.

Credit by Portfolio

Students may receive academic credit and/or receive waivers of prerequisite courses in undergraduate or graduate academic programs based on prior learning that is documented in an approved portfolio. Students pursuing a credit by portfolio option for any course must receive prior approval to do so from their academic program and enroll in a portfolio development course. Upon successful completion of the portfolio development course, the portfolio is submitted to the academic program for review. Credit is awarded upon approval of the academic program. Prospective students should contact your Enrollment Counselor for more information. Current students should contact their Academic Program Administrator.
